I would certainly recommend MyConcern, as I feel our safeguarding system is now far more effective and informative than it ever was using a paper-based system.

Due to an increasing number of safeguarding concerns, year on year, our old paper-based system was becoming unwieldy and I was concerned that details could be missed. MyConcern has transformed our reporting and recording of safeguarding. Staff are now all confident at using the system and even small details are being recorded, helping us to build up a well-informed picture of our individual children. A wealth of information is now available at my fingertips, including any referrals and the outcomes, files which have been uploaded and a detailed chronology for each young person.

We have also started to use MyConcern for reporting behavioural concerns and also concerns with emotional wellbeing. We also include the actions taken and the impact of these and I'm able to create a 'team around the child' of adults who are able to see this information. I'm also able to use MyConcern to create detailed reports for governors and it allows our academy trust to have an oversight of safeguarding in all of their schools, further strengthening the support provided to us. The '8am dashboard' for Ofsted was also very useful and having MyConcern made the safeguarding part of our recent inspection in June 2024 a very positive process, where I was confidently able to answer and find evidence for any safeguarding questions. The Tes staff have been extremely helpful with any queries I had at the beginning and now, through our annual 'health checks', I feel confident that I will be up-to-date with any changes. I would certainly recommend MyConcern, as I feel our safeguarding system is now far more effective and informative than it ever was using a paper-based system.
